Michael Hanley is a Senior Litigation Attorney with the firm. He is a seasoned trial lawyer with 29 years of criminal litigation experience. He has a reputation for zealous advocacy in the advancement of his clients’ causes. Mr. Hanley has successfully represented thousands of persons accused of crimes and has vast experience favorably settling cases and taking virtually every kind of criminal case to trial. He is recognized as a Death Penalty qualified litigator by the Superior Court.

Mr. Hanley earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of San Diego, and then went on to receive his Master of Arts in Political Theory from San Francisco State University. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of San Francisco.

As a published author and Adjunct Professor of Law, Mr. Hanley spent 10 years teaching law students and other lawyers in areas of Evidence Law, Refugee and Immigration Law, and Criminal Law Practice.
